Do you feel rigid or flexible?

Athletes who are great at CrossFit are able to adapt quickly and effectively. To constantly improve at this sport, you have to constantly adapt to your environment, the movements, the schedule, your competition, and other influences. If you can be more flexible, and less uptight or rigid, you’ll find that it’s easier to perform well.

1. So, think about someone who is very flexible (not physically, but mentally): He or she could also probably be described as easy-going, adaptable, laid-back, calm, cool and composed.

2. Now, think about someone who is a bit uptight: He or she might be described as; edgy, on the defensive, tense, uptight, stern, controlling or rigid.

The next time you’re in a situation where you begin to feel “agitated” or “thrown off” by something that’s going on around you, try to remain unaffected.

Continue to challenge yourself to be adaptable to anyone, anywhere, at anytime.

It takes constant effort to remind yourself how you want to act in an uncomfortable, or pressure situation. Take the time to respond and stay easy-going, instead of reacting quickly with agitation.

Do you think it would help you to become more flexible?
