Don’t Have The Body You Want?

Are you excessively worried about your physical image? Do you always think about how you aren’t tall enough, thin enough or ripped enough? Do you struggle or feel depressed, because you don’t look how you used to…or how you wish you did?

It is easy to identify with your body, but you must remember that you are NOT your body. Our crazy society emphasizes looks and appearance, but that doesn’t mean you have to. It is not what you look like, it’s who you are that matters.

  • Do not identify with your external self. Sure, it is part of who you are and how you feel, but you must remember that your body will continue to change, evolve, grow and age. It is not permanent and it does not define who you are.
  • If you become consumed with how you look…stop and remember to search beyond the externals. Your body is not your center. This doesn’t mean that you’re not trying to improve or change your physical appearance, it simply means that you aren’t identified by how you look – You are much, much more than that.
